Overview

The Senior Technical Specialist will provide expert-level technical and analytical support for the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) lifecycle, focusing on logistics operations, program analysis, and military equipment management. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in logistics systems, program analysis, and military equipment, including technical and military school experience. The Senior Technical Specialist will collaborate with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure the effective planning, execution, and sustainment of UAS systems to support mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

Logistics Services:

  • Lifecycle Logistics Support: Provide technical expertise in planning, developing, and executing acquisition and sustainment of Integrated Product Support (IPS) requirements for the UAS portfolio.
  • Supply Chain Analysis: Analyze and assess UAS supply posture, including inventory levels, requisitions, backorders, procurement, and repair programs. Provide recommendations for issue resolution and status updates to the Government.
  • Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to sourcing, procurement, and conversion, including technical management functions related to cybersecurity, quality manufacturing, and diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS).
  • Military Equipment Management: Apply technical and military school experience to ensure proper handling, maintenance, and lifecycle management of military equipment.

Program Analysis:

  • Purchase Requests: Develop purchase requests and provide technical support for financial and logistical systems.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): Utilize the Army’s General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), and equivalent ERP platforms to manage program data and transactions.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and resolve issues related to Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP), Financials (FI), and Asset Management (AM) transaction codes.
  • Funds Execution: Collect, analyze, and integrate obligation and disbursement reports to ensure accurate program execution.
  • Program Reporting: Manage and report funding and programmatic data using tools such as Project Management Resource Tool (PMRT), ADVANA, and Power BI.

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Logistics, Engineering, Military Science, or equivalent).
    • Technical/military school experience in military equipment required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics operations, program analysis, and military equipment management.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in ERP platforms (e.g., GFEBS, LMP), SAP transaction codes, and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, ADVANA).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Security Clearance:
    • Active SECRET clearance required.

Work Location:

  • Primary: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
  • Secondary: Authorized virtual work location per customer Telework Policy. Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required at other locations.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
  • Knowledge of Federal, DoD, and Army regulations related to logistics and program analysis.
