Overview

The Sr. Configuration Analyst is Responsible for recommending available configuration options for packaged software and implementing the appropriate solution options to meet business needs. Performs configuration, troubleshooting, testing and analysis tasks as well as supporting day-to-day business operations of packaged software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Takes ownership as an escalation point with complex packaged software application needs. These activities may include resolving escalated complex and/or business impacting application issues. Responding to incident tickets received from the service desk as well as processing change requests.
  • Leads team efforts to configure and maintain packaged software applications across the entire application with knowledge of interdependencies in each area. Maintenance may include the support of end users in specific areas or processing, reconciliation and reporting within all areas of the system.
  • Perform necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine feasibility of implementing new functionality to address business needs or system issues.
  • As part of the team, gathers requirements for new or modified packaged system functionality by understanding end user processes and business problems integrating them with the existing business and technical processes. Facilitates or leads team members contributions and day-to-day activities during application upgrades and other system initiatives.
  • As part of the team, maintains clear concise and accurate documentation for processes, reports and configurations. Ensure documentation is kept up to date and in the proper shared, accessible location
  • As part of the team, develops accurate estimates of time and effort required to implement or modify complex system configurations. Produces necessary work/test plans for accomplishing these efforts. Can communicate effectively and work as a team member both within information services and across other groups in support of goals & objectives. Recommends new end user software features. Identifies new functionality aligned with current end user processes, business values and risks associated with implementation

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • Develops and executes highly complex reports using a variety of reporting tools to assist the team or business area. Promotes standards and best practices for configuration and set-up within a packaged application. Explores new technology and/or methods and determines appropriateness for packaged application.
  • Develops other team members’ capabilities through coaching and mentoring. Ensure alignment and drives adoption of new technology and methods within the packaged application area. Agile Chapter Member Expected Results. Contributes within the Chapter family in a leadership capacity by continuously learning and building knowledge, skills and capabilities in the domain of expertise.
  • Facilitates team member contribution within planning, refinement, design and implementation efforts within product team. Influences other team members across chapter families/product teams in areas such as mentoring and knowledge sharing. Serves as an agile role model, both in process and mindset.
  • Demonstrates and continually broadens packaged application capabilities and domain knowledge where individuals could serve effectively on a variety of product teams in a leadership capacity.
