Technical Writer

We are seeking an Intermediate Technical Writer to join our Department of Treasury Office of Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) team. The role involves writing, editing, and managing technical documentation and operator/maintenance manuals for military systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or three years of experience in technical writing, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

• · Writing, editing and managing technical documentation and operator / maintenance manuals for military systems and equipment
• · Preparing instruction manuals, how-to guides, technical papers, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information
• · Expressing technical information in written form in comprehensive manner to a wide audience of readers
• · Working with technical staff to draft and refine technical concepts and solutions in easy to read, comprehensive, compliant and compelling documents

Required:

• · Ability to work with loose requirements
• · Ability to drive solutions for customers
• · Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• · Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience writing, editing and managing technical documentation

Preferred:

• · Bachelor’s degree in English
