Overview

This role plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of web and desktop-based business applications. In this role, the developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that comply with architecture standards and cybersecurity controls. This includes writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, integrating software components, and addressing any technical issues to ensure reliable system performance. Additionally, the ideal candidate must collaborate closely with other team members, such as business analysts and architects, to ensure that the solutions align with business needs and technical constrain

 

In addition, this role provides support to ensure SAAS application sustainment and associated Analysis, Development of Requirements, Architecture, Design, Cyber Security, Database Administration, System Administration, Specialty Engineering, Technical Writing, Software Design, Software Development, Configuration Management, Unit Testing, Informal Testing, Security Testing, Formal Integration Testing, Formal Qualification Testing and User Documentation for all software releases and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support software releases by implementing bug fixes, addressing Cyber Security/IA requirements, enhancing incomplete functionality, and developing approved feature enhancements in alignment with Product Owner direction.
  • Analyze and document high-level and detailed system requirements, including impacts on existing baseline design, and maintain a traceability matrix to manage requirement changes effectively.
  • Provide requirements management and roadmap support using SAFe Agile 6.0 (or current Agile methodology), including creation and updates of design artifacts such as journey maps, storyboards, and supporting documentation.
  • Evaluate and apply emerging technologies to improve the SaaS application and database, leveraging Agile SAFe practices and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain both web- and desktop-based business applications, ensuring compliance with architecture standards and NIST Cyber Security Controls.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code based on specifications; integrate software components and third-party tools as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance existing code base, including development of new capabilities based on problem reports or change requests. Prepare technical specifications, test conditions, and participate in all test activities (unit, integration, regression, benchmark) to validate software functionality.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical and application issues, ensuring reliable system performance and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and technical constraints.
  • Apply operational experience to guide hands-on application development efforts, contributing directly to mission success.
  • Provide mentorship, leadership, and technical guidance to junior team members, fostering professional growth and high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology discipline AND 3 years’ programming experience with the following programming languages Visual Studio using ASP.NET 4.5 or higher, C#, Telerik, T-SQL, SQL Server RDBMS AND 3 years’ experience with WEB/cloud/Web Services programming. The experience will be in developing web based solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio and applying Object Oriented Analysis and Design principals, development patterns and technologies to include: Model-View-Controller (MVC), Object Relational Mapping (ORM)/Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML.
  • Repliweb experience, Microsoft .Net development, Angular, Bootstrap, and knowledge of Okta

    • OR 7 years’ programming experience for above mentioned tool sets.

  • Requires IT-II and IAT Level I Certification.

  • Experience with Microsoft office suite (word, excel, power point, etc.)
