Provide IT systems administration and analytical support to TARCES projects—across all project phases (fielded, in production, modernization, modification, R&D)—serving both Department of Defense (DoD) and non DoD/FMS customers at NAS Patuxent River, Webster Field (WOLF), and affiliated mission areas.
· Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
· Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies.
· Ensure that appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.
· Respond to computer security breaches and viruses.
Required:
· Bachelor's degree
or
Associate degree plus four years of additional work experience related to the applicable labor category’s required experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree,
or
Six years of additional work experience related to the applicable labor category’s required experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
· At least seven years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description,
or
meets the identified military equivalent OJT Training requirement.
· Cybersecurity Certification (such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)/Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)/Security+/Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH/etc.)
· Active or current Top Secret/SCI clearance (TS/SCI eligible)
Desired Qualifications / Preferred Experience
• Experience with TARCES programs/contracts (Test and Evaluation / Range & Communications Engineering Support), in military, government civilian, or contractor roles.
• Hands-on or leadership experience supporting Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) missions: test range operations, electronics/communications, UAV/UAS test beds, or range modernization.
• Familiarity with NAWCAD (Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division) programs, mission sets, or technical domains—especially systems engineering, range test, or program management.
• Prior work with or direct support of NAVAIR (Naval Air Systems Command) offices, projects, or technology initiatives.
• Background, work assignments, or planned relocation to Southern Maryland / NAS Patuxent River area (including Webster Field, St. Mary’s County, or Calvert County).
