Computer Systems Analyst (NAWCAD NAS Pax River WOLF)

Provide IT systems administration and analytical support to TARCES projects—across all project phases (fielded, in production, modernization, modification, R&D)—serving both Department of Defense (DoD) and non DoD/FMS customers at NAS Patuxent River, Webster Field (WOLF), and affiliated mission areas.

• Analyze scientific, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions for complex application, system administration, or network challenges.

• Perform systems management and integration; improve existing computer systems; review and optimize system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling.

• Evaluate and recommend commercially available software solutions.

• Provide system administration, software engineering, and cybersecurity support, ensuring system availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency for internal and customer-facing IT.

• Support mission IT for TARCES, test ranges, and technical intelligence activities at NAS Pax River and Webster Field as required.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field,
or
Associate’s degree plus four (4) additional years’ relevant work experience,
or
High school diploma plus six (6) additional years’ relevant work experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

• Minimum seven (7) years performing work directly related to Computer Systems Analyst or equivalent functional responsibilities,
or
have completed relevant military-specific On the Job (OTJ) training.

• At least two (2) years of hands-on experience with:
  Principles of cloud computing,

  Systems administration,
  Network engineering,

  Data warehousing and third-party hosting environments.

• Active or current Top Secret/SCI clearance (TS/SCI eligible).

Note: Equivalent combinations of education and hands-on experience from military service or government may be considered.

Desired Qualifications/Preferred Experience

• Experience with TARCES programs/contracts (Test and Evaluation / Range & Communications Engineering Support), in military, government civilian, or contractor roles.

• Hands-on or leadership experience supporting Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) missions: test range operations, electronics/communications, UAV/UAS test beds, or range modernization.

• Familiarity with NAWCAD (Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division) programs, mission sets, or technical domains—especially systems engineering, range test, or program management.

• Prior work with or direct support of NAVAIR (Naval Air Systems Command) offices, projects, or technology initiatives.

• Background, work assignments, or planned relocation to Southern Maryland / NAS Patuxent River area (including Webster Field, St. Mary’s County, or Calvert County).
