Senior Technical Writer

The Technical Writer Senior supports the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) modernization of logistics applications and workflows is essential to ensuring the sustainment of surface fleet operations and aligning with broader DHS digital transformation efforts.

· Provide expert advice and assistance in support of technologies, systems, or capabilities.

· Provide expert advice and senior oversight in the development of technical strategies, policies, investments and requirements

· Provide expert advice and senior oversight in the development of concepts, strategies, policies, and requirements

· Gather input from stakeholders involved in all aspects of a problem or from others who have specialized knowledge, so that they can help solve the problem

· Examine information to figure out what relevant to a problem and what methods might be used to analyze it

· Use simulations, predictive modeling, optimization techniques, and other methods to analyze information and develop practical solutions to business problems

· Advise decision makes on the impact of various courses of action to take in order to address a problem

· Produce written deliverables to include reports, spreadsheets, databases, formal process mapping, technical design, system testing and implementation activities explaining their findings and recommendations for managers, executives and other officials

Required:

· MA/MS with 10 years of experience in the conduct of in-depth and complex research, evaluations, business intelligence, and market studies to obtain information on emerging technology needs and capabilities OR

· BA/BS with 12 years experience

· Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other MS Office Suite products.

· Strong analytical background in gathering and interpreting complex amounts of data and excellent communication skills.

· Public Trust Clearance
