Overview

The Data Scientist I recognizes business requirements in the context of BI and creates data models to transform raw data into relevant insights for the Capability Program Executive, Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (CPE IEW&S) Program Management Offices.

Responsibilities

· Uses Power BI, creates dashboards, interactive visual reports, and runs queries and functions

· Defines key performance indicators (KPIs) with specific objectives and tracks them regularly

· Analyzes data and displays it in reports to aid decision-making

· Converts business needs into technical specifications and establishes a timetable for job completion

· Creates, tests, and deploys Power BI scripts, as well as executes efficient deep analysis

· Create charts and data documentation with explanations of algorithms, parameters, models, and relationships

· Construct a data warehouse

· Use SQL queries to get the best results

· Make technological adjustments to current BI systems to improve their performance

· For a better understanding of the data, use filters and visualizations. Background with BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau, and SAP

· Prior experience in data-related tasks

· Understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack

· Mastery in data analytics

· Should be proficient in software development

· Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics

· Capable of enabling row-level data security

Qualifications

Required:

 

· Bachelor's Degree - with an emphasis in data analytics or statistics

· A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience is required.

· Seven years of relevant experience is required if the candidate does not possess a Bachelor's degree.

· Ability to run queries on Power BI desktop with knowledge of Power BI application security layer models

· Proficient in doing advanced-level computations on the data set; excellent communication skills

· Secret Clearance
